Family Support in Central New York serves Madison, Herkimer, Oneida, and Onondaga Counties. The purpose of our agency is to help families and individuals access the supports they need to succeed.

We are a non-profit organization, developed and governed primarily by parents/caregivers of youth who have had lived experience with emotional, behavioral, social, and cross-system challenges. FSCNY believes in the promotion of wellness and resolves to recognize everyone’s ability to define that for themselves at their own pace. Through our efforts, and those of many others in this field, we strive to see a system responsive to current needs.

FSCNY works to raise awareness and fight stigma so everyone who wants help can find it without judgement. We believe in the power of networking to eliminate the feelings of isolation among families and individuals. A look at our present society suggests we need to be each other’s supports in order to strengthen our collective communities.

Our organization also helps to provide a voice for families and individuals in our region in advocating on a local and state level for necessary system and legislative changes.
