Public Policy

Family Support in Central New York is a chapter of Families Together New York State. Families Together in New York State is a family-run organization that represents families of children with social, emotional, behavioral and cross-systems challenges.

Families Together collaborates with families, schools, policymakers and service providers to ensure families receive the services needed for their children. Families Together aims to increase public awareness of children’s mental health issues through media contacts, special events, various publications and their website. An annual legislative luncheon is hosted each February, allowing families to have the opportunity to voice their concerns and ideas with policymakers.
